The spring week on the lake is the version of a Florida lake that does not require a crowd, and the week is the one that makes the trip worth it.
You are up at 7 because the light is good and the air is in the 70s. The dock is the front yard, the water is warm enough that the boat morning is the good one, and the boat ramps are empty because the summer crowds have not arrived. This is the version of a spring morning that makes the trip worth it, and it is the version you cannot get in the summer.
A boat morning, an early lunch, an afternoon that does not have to be planned. The houses we manage all have space, which in the spring means space to actually be in. A table in the middle of the room, a game, a book, a nap. The lake is ten minutes away if you want to be back on the water.
The spring dinner scene is the good one. Cob & Pen does its late dinners, Black & Brew does its breakfast the next morning, and Nineteen61 does the reservation dinner that is worth planning the week around. If the week includes a show at RP Funding Center, the dinner is the pre-show move and the house is the post-show one.
The local tip: the spring lake weeks are the transition weeks, and the transition weeks are the ones that have the best rate for the best weather. Book the dock house first and the week will take care of itself.
Send us your dates and whether you want a dock. We manage seven houses on and around Lake Lakeland and we will match you to the one that is the right distance from the water and the right size for your group.
