The spring golf season is the one everyone plans around, and the reason is simple: the weather is the right weather and the courses are the right courses. The tee sheets fill by phone, and the waiting list is the thing.

Why the spring is the season

The temperature is in the 70s, the humidity is not the summer humidity, and the courses are at their best. The Club at Eaglebrooke is the anchor, a Ron Garl links design with over a hundred feet of elevation change and water in play on eleven holes, and in the spring it is the course everyone wants to be on.

The 23 courses

Polk County has 23 courses within a fifteen-mile radius, which means a week in a house here is a golf week by default. You can play a different course every day of a week and not repeat one, and in the spring you can do it without a waiting list if you book early. The move is to book the tee times before you book the house, because the tee times are the scarce thing.

The week around the rounds

Early morning on the course, back to the house by 10, a slow lunch at Cob & Pen, an afternoon on the lake, and a late dinner at Nineteen61. That is the day, and you can do it five of them. The houses we manage are a short drive from the courses, and the dock houses are the ones that make the post-round afternoon work.

The local tip: the spring tee times are the ones that fill first, and the spring house rates are the ones that are still available. Book the house early and the tee times will take care of themselves.

Send us your dates and your golf plan. We manage seven houses in the Lakeland area and we will match you to the one that is the right distance from the courses and the right size for your group.
